The Odisha Research Centre (ORC), Bhubaneswar, a Public Trust dedicated to research, knowledge, and public policy, is inviting applications for the position of Director. This is a prestigious opportunity to lead the Centre as its Chief Executive Officer.

Position Overview

The appointment is for a term of three years, with the possibility of extending for an additional three years based on satisfactory performance. The role of Director is equivalent in rank and benefits to that of a Professor in a recognized university. However, please note that the age limit for this position is seventy years.

Eligibility Criteria

Applications are encouraged from candidates with demonstrated leadership in research, policy, or institutional development:

• Academia:
  • Ph.D. in Social Sciences/Humanities/allied disciplines
  • At least 15 years of teaching/research experience
  • Strong publication and leadership record in research
• Civil Services:
  • Serving/retired officers from All India or Central/State Civil Services
  • Minimum 14 years of government service
  • Experience in policy, governance, or development related to ORC
• Industry/Think Tanks/Development Sector:
  • Minimum 14 years in senior roles in reputed institutions
  • Proven track record in knowledge leadership, innovation, or public policy

Selection Process

The selection will be conducted by a Search-cum-Selection Committee constituted by the Board of Trustees. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
