- Education: Graduation (Degree in any discipline) from a university recognized by the Govt. of India. Graduation must have been passed between 01-01-2023 and 01-09-2026 (both days inclusive).
- Merit basis: Selection is on merit of 12th Std (HSC/10+2)/Diploma marks — minimum 60% (55% for SC/ST/PwBD). Ties are broken by age (older candidate preferred).
- Local language: Candidates must be proficient in the specified local language of the opted state/UT (exempt if shown as a subject in 10th/12th mark sheet; otherwise a test is conducted at document verification).
- Other: Medically fit as per the Bank's requirement.
