Eligibility Criteria
A Master's degree in the relevant/allied subject with 55% marks (equivalent grade/point scale accepted), AND qualification in the UGC- or CSIR-conducted NET or a UGC-recognized SLET/SET — OR a Ph.D. awarded as per UGC Regulations 2009/2016 (Ph.D. holders are exempt from NET/SLET/SET subject to the conditions in the notification). 5% marks relaxation at PG level applies for SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy)/PwBD candidates. A special alternate route exists for Music (traditional/professional artistes).
