The typing test will be held at five designated centres across the country. SSB will call candidates for this stage only up to 15 times the number of vacancies in each category, as laid down in the recruitment advertisement, and the category-wise shortlist and admit cards will appear on the official recruitment portal.
Candidates need to have passed the 10+2 (Intermediate) examination from a recognised board, and they must hold the typing speed the post demands: 35 words per minute in English or 30 words per minute in Hindi. The typing test itself is the practical check of that skill.
The age conditions for this recruitment were fixed in the original 2020 advertisement, and relaxation applies as per the rules for the categories covered by that advertisement. Candidates should confirm their own position from the advertisement rather than from any summary.
No fresh fee applies at this stage. The application fee for this recruitment was collected with the original application window, which closed long ago.
The Sashastra Seema Bal is a Central Armed Police Force under the Ministry of Home Affairs, guarding India's borders with Nepal and Bhutan, and its Head Constable (Ministerial) staff handle the clerical and administrative backbone of the force.
