Trade Apprentices need an ITI pass certificate in the relevant trade — Electrician, Fitter or Electronics Mechanic. Diploma Apprentices need a diploma in the relevant discipline, and Graduate Apprentices need a degree in the relevant discipline, as specified in the notification. The cut-off date for reckoning age and qualification is 18-11-2026.

Selection is by shortlisting on the basis of the percentage of marks in the qualifying examination, as per the notification. Shortlisted candidates will be called for document verification before engagement as apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961.
NPCIL is a Government of India enterprise under the Department of Atomic Energy that designs, builds and operates nuclear power stations across the country. Its Narora Atomic Power Station in Uttar Pradesh is one of its operating stations, and it engages apprentices every year under the national apprenticeship schemes.
