NBER Admissions 2025: Apply for Certificate & Diploma Courses in Special Education and Disability Rehabilitation
National Board of Examination in Rehabilitation - Admissions 2025
The National Board of Examination in Rehabilitation (NBER), an adjunct body of the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI), is inviting online applications from eligible candidates for admission to its various Certificate & Diploma Level Courses in Special Education and Disability Rehabilitation. These courses are offered by RCI-approved institutions and university departments across the country.
Admission Details
Online admission will be conducted through Centralised Online e-Counselling based on merit, without any entrance examination.
Eligibility Criteria
- Special Education Courses (D.Ed.Spl.Ed.): Eligibility for candidates who have passed 10+2 or equivalent with at least 50% marks in any stream.
- Disability Rehabilitation Courses:
- D.H.L.S., D.P.O., D.R.T., D.H.A.E.M.T., D.C.E.&A.T.(VI), D.V.R.(ID), D.C.B.R: 10+2 with PCM/PCB or its equivalent examination from a recognized Central/State Board of Education with minimum 50% marks.
- Sign Language (DTISL Course): Exclusively for deaf candidates who have completed 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized board with a minimum aggregate of 45% marks and possess a Certificate of Disability (Deaf).
Preference Criteria
Parents and siblings of persons with disabilities (PwDs) will receive preference in admissions based on their percentage of disability, with a minimum of 50% disability receiving 5 extra marks and 10 marks for 100% disability (applicable only to the first blood relation).
Registration Fee
- General, EWS, OBC: Rs. 500/-
- SC, ST, PwD: Rs. 350/-
Fees can be paid online using Debit/Credit Card, Net Banking, or UPI.
