National Institute of Rock Mechanics - Administrative Officer, Scientist

The NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF ROCK MECHANICS (NIRM) is a premier institute offering services in rock mechanics and rock engineering, set under the Ministry of Mines, Government of India, in the year 1988.

Presently, it has offices at Bengaluru (Head Office) and at Kolar Gold Fields (Regional Office). The Institute invites ONLINE applications to fill up the following positions on a regular basis through Direct Recruitment:

1. Administrative Officer - 1 No. (UR) (Group - A Level - 7 CPC)
   • Essential Qualification: A Degree or its equivalent from a recognised University with 12 years of experience of administrative works in Government Departments/Organisation or reputed in a supervisory capacity.
   • Desirable: MBA (LLB) or Diploma in Personnel Management and should be fully conversant with the Govt. of India Rules and Regulations.
   • Upper Age Limit: 45 years. Relaxation of 5 years for Department Candidates and usual relaxation for SC/ST/OBC candidates will be reckoned as on the closing date for submission of application.
2. Scientist - 1 (Group-A, Level - 10, 7 CPC) – Nos: (OBC – 1, SC – 1, EWS – 2 UR – 1)
   • Essential Qualification: 1st Class B.E in Mining/ Civil/ Geotechnical/ Electronics or equivalent (or) 1st Class M.Sc. in Geophysics/ Geology/ Applied Geology.
   • Upper Age Limit: 40 years. Relaxation of 5 years for Department Candidates and usual relaxation for SC/ST/OBC candidates will be reckoned as on the closing date for submission of application.
   • Desirable: 1st Class M. Tech in the above discipline or two years’ experience in research/teaching/industry in rock mechanics or related field.
