Join the National Monuments Authority: 5 Whole-Time Member Positions Open for Application

The National Monuments Authority (NMA), a statutory body under the Ministry of Culture, constituted under the Ancient Monuments and Archaeological Sites and Remains Act, 1958 (as amended in 2010), invites applications from eminent professionals with proven experience and expertise in the fields of Archaeology, Country and Town Planning, Architecture, Heritage, Conservation-Architecture or Law for appointment as Whole-Time Members (05) of the National Monuments Authority (NMA).

📝 Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria and service conditions for appointment as Whole-Time Member are as follows:

1. The Whole-Time Member shall be entitled to draw pay in the Higher Administrative Grade along with allowances as are admissible to an officer of the rank of Additional Secretary to the Govt. of India. Provided that if a whole-time member at the time of appointment is drawing a scale higher than the Higher Administrative Grade, his pay shall be protected per the existing rules of the Government of India.
2. If appointed as a Whole-Time Member, any pension being drawn will reduce the pay by the gross amount of pension.
3. The tenure shall be three years from the date of assumption of office or until the age of 70 years, whichever is earlier, with no eligibility for re-appointment.

Persons who have held posts in the Archaeological Survey of India or in the Ministry of Culture or a State Government and who have not been found fit, will not be considered for this position. Additionally, any person involved in permissions or licenses granted or denied on behalf of the NMA will also be ineligible.
