- Mining: Manager Post E2 requires B.E./B.Tech in Mining Engineering, Senior Manager E4 requires First Class Mine Manager Certificate (Unrestricted).
- Geology: Master Degree (M.Sc.) in Geology or Applied Geology.
- Environment Management: BE/B.Tech in Environmental Engineering/Technology or Engineering Degree with PG Diploma/Degree in Environmental Engineering/Management or Environmental Science.
- Safety & Fire Services: BE/B.Tech with PG Diploma/Degree in Safety Engineering Management or B.Tech in Safety/Fire Engineering.
- Concentrator (Mineral Processing): B.E./B.Tech in Mineral Engineering or Mineral & Metallurgical Engineering.
- Electrical: B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering.
- Instrumentation: Graduate Degree in Instrumentation Engineering, Electronics & Communication or Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering.
