The Centre for Development Studies (CDS), Thiruvananthapuram, is inviting applications for the prestigious position of Registrar. This leading research and teaching institution operates under the Department of Planning & Economic Affairs, Govt. of Kerala, and the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR), Govt. of India.

Key Responsibilities

The Registrar will be responsible for the complete administrative functioning of the Centre, including managing its extensive facilities. Notably, the new Registrar will have the option to reside in quarters provided on-campus, with mandatory residence requirements.

Educational Qualifications & Experience

• Essential:
  • A Master’s Degree with a consistently good academic record.
  • A minimum of fifteen years of administrative experience, including at least five years in a senior supervisory role in relevant fields, preferably within a notable national organization, recognized university, or public sector undertaking.
• Desirable:
  • Familiarity with UGC regulations.
  • Excellent writing and oral communication skills in English.
  • Experience in academic administration.

Age Criteria

• Applicants must be aged between 45 years as of July 01, 2025.
• Age relaxation is available for candidates from reservation categories as per Kerala government norms.

Pay Scale

The pay scale for this position is Rs. 77,400 - 1,15,200 (as per the 10th revision scales of the Govt. of Kerala), with the likelihood of revision upon the corresponding 11th pay scale incorporation.
