The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) under the Government of India is inviting applications for the ex-cadre post of Deputy Director (Electronic Data Processing) to be filled on a deputation basis (including short-term contract).

Eligibility Criteria for the Post

• Eligibility for Officers: Must be from Central Government, State Governments, Universities, Recognized Research Institutions, Public Sector Undertakings, or Autonomous Organizations.
  • Holding analogous posts regularly, or
  • Five years of regular service in posts in Level-9 or equivalent, or
  • Eight years of regular service in posts in Level-6 or equivalent.
• Period of deputation should not exceed 3 years.

Essential Qualifications

• Master's degree in Statistical Mathematics, Operations Research, Physics, Economics, or Commerce (with Statistics) OR Degree in Engineering/Computer Science from a recognized university.
• 7 years of experience in electronic data processing, with at least 3 years in electronic computers.

Desirable Qualifications

• Formal training in computer programming/system design/analysis.
