The Stage-I paper is a computer based online examination. Candidates who clear it move to Stage-II, which covers physical fitness, assessment and adaptability tests, followed by document verification and a medical examination in the later stages.
Navik (General Duty) asks for 10+2 with Mathematics and Physics as subjects. Yantrik trades require Class 10 along with a diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics or Telecommunication engineering, with the exact trade-wise conditions given in the notification. Age limits and other conditions vary by post and batch, so the notification remains the final word for each applicant.
Age limits differ across the Navik and Yantrik posts and across the two batches, and relaxation applies as per the rules in the official notification. Candidates should check the batch-wise conditions that apply to their own post before the examination.
The application window for these batches closed on 21-10-2026, so no fresh application or fee payment is open now. This post is for candidates who have already applied and are waiting for the Stage-I examination.
The Indian Coast Guard, under the Ministry of Defence, guards India's coastline and maritime zones, and its enrolled personnel — Navik and Yantrik sailors — form the operational core of ships, stations and shore establishments.
