- For Secondary Teacher (Class 9–10, Paper-I): Bachelor’s degree in the subject with at least 50% marks and a B.Ed. degree.
- For Senior Secondary Teacher (Class 11–12, Paper-II): Postgraduate degree in the subject with Second Division along with a B.Ed. degree (B.Ed not required for Computer Science subject).
- 5% relaxation in marks is allowed for SC/ST/EBC/BC/Divyang categories.
